John P. Heideman is a 50-year-old farmer and resident of the Town of Maple Creek, located in the Sugarbush area, where he lives with his wife April and their three children. Their children include Sarah, who is 20 years old, Maureen, who is 18 years old, and Henry, who is 16 years old and currently in 10th grade at New London High School. Both Sarah and Maureen are graduates of New London High School, where John himself also graduated.
As a third-generation farmer, John, and April farm approximately 1000 tillable acres of cash crops in the area. In 2012, the Heideman Farms co-hosted Farm Technology Days, which is a three-day statewide farm technology event that took place in collaboration with a neighboring farm.
Aside from farming, John is also involved in education as a member of the New London School Board. He was first elected to this position in April of 2017, where he has since worked to ensure that the school system provides students with the resources and education they need to succeed.
Mr. Heideman is a dedicated farmer and community member, committed to his family, his farm, and the broader community.
