Chris Martinson is a 71-year-old resident of the City of New London, where he lives with his wife Ellen. Together they have two children, Matt, 37, and Victor Martinson, 32, both of whom attended New London Schools and graduated from New London High School.
Originally from Alpena, Michigan, Chris graduated from Alpena High School in 1969. For over 36 years, Chris has worked in the hardwood lumber industry, working for several companies, moving to New London in 2002. In 2008, Chris started his own lumber wholesaling. Ellen assists in the business by handling the bookkeeping and, at times, assists in lumber-sorting.
Aside from his career in lumber, Chris is also an active member of the community, serving as a member of the New London School Board. He was first elected in April of 2016. His commitment to education and his community is a testament to his values and dedication to the betterment of those around him.
Mr. Martinson is a committed entrepreneur and community advocate, who prioritizes his Christian faith, his freedom as an American, his family, his business, and his community.
